Man, 46, killed in car vs. bicycle crash in East Naples
EAST NAPLES, FL – A 46-year-old man was riding his bicycle when a Sedan driver fatally hit him while he tried to cross northbound Airport-Pulling Road near Poinsettia Avenue Monday.
NBC-2 said the collision happened before 9:30 p.m. The sedan driver, a 20-year-old man, was also traveling north on Airport-Pulling Road approaching Poinsettia Avenue when the front of his car struck the cyclist.
The cyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 20-year-old man and his passenger got off without a scratch.
Florida Highway Patrol is investigating additional details regarding this collision, but have not released further information.
