Driver killed after vehicle crashes into Little Wekiva River

ORLANDO, FL – One person was killed Tuesday morning when their vehicle crashed into a river in northwest Orlando, according to Fox 35.

The collision occurred at about 4:15 p.m. when the driver lost control of their vehicle on FL-436 near Orange Avenue, causing it to overturn and crash into Little Wekiva River.

First responders were able to extricate the unidentified driver from their vehicle. Unfortunately, they were pronounced dead a short time later.

Investigators are working to establish an official cause of the crash at this time. Our team will update this news blog as any additional information comes to light.
