Pickup truck rams crashes into Davie canal, sending 2 to hospital

DAVIE, FL – A driver operating a white pickup truck and their passenger were taken to an area hospital after crashing into a canal near Vista View Park Sunday. 

WSVN said this single-vehicle wreck happened at the Southwest 37th Court and Southwest 142nd Avenue junction. After the pickup truck occupants were submerged in water, two passersby saw what happened and rescued the two before first responders arrived on site and took them to a local hospital. 

The occupants, whose conditions were not revealed, are recovering at Memorial Regional Hospital.
