Axel J. Dumas is an associate with The Pendas Law Firm. His practice is focused on general civil litigation, catastrophic and personal injury, premises liability, vehicle negligence, bad faith, and extra-contractual liability.
Axel was originally born and raised in Paris, France, and grew up in Florida. Axel graduated high school at the age of 16 and was accepted into Florida State University on a Tennis scholarship. At Florida State University, Axel graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a minor in Business. He then began working for one of the largest suppliers of Fiber cement in the country and taking on a managerial role for over 50 supplier locations across the state of Florida.
Shortly after, he chose to attend St. Thomas University School of law in order to pursue a joint MBA/J.D degree. Excelling in both his Master’s in business and Law classes, Axel was also part of the prestigious St. Thomas Law School Trial Team where he assisted the team in competitions.
Prior to joining The Pendas Law Firm, Axel was a Defense attorney primarily in the areas of commercial transportation defense and commercial premises litigation. Axel has a strong focus on insurance coverage as it pertains to automobile accidents, premises liability and products liability. Axel’s experience as a former Defense attorney has served as an integral part of his career by preparing him to strategically litigate matters in the best interest of his clients, while anticipating his adversary’s course of action.
